Mosaic and Tiled Panel for East Rudham Primary School, October 2007
This commemorative Panel is a combination of painted fired tiles and Mosaic. Each child designed and painted a tile in a day workshop with the theme of the sea. The tiles were fired by me and then a further day was held in the school where each child helped with breaking up tiles, gluing and mosaicing the panel. The middle area
was grouted, cleaned and polished. The school colours include red, so we used red vitreous tiles to compliment the blue of the sea. The panel was installed on the wall in the entrance hall of the school.
